Martina Novotny becomes new member of the ANWR GROUP Executive Board
June 15 2023 - The Supervisory Board of ANWR GROUP appoints Martina Novotny to the Executive Board of the international trade cooperation as Chief Digital Officer as of July 1 2023.
With the engagement of Martina Novotny as Chief Digital Officer, the Supervisory Board of ANWR GROUP completes the generational change of the top management level of the retail cooperation based in Mainhausen/Hessen.
Martina Novotny was most recently responsible for the digital and stationary business of the retail company in Germany as CEO for C&A Mode GmbH. Her focus was on building an omnichannel organisation. Prior to that, she held various management positions at Gries Deco Company (Depot) over a period of seven years. During this time, she was also responsible for the dovetailing of analogue and digital retail.
On the Executive Board of ANWR GROUP, Martina Novotny will primarily be responsible for the further development of digital retail solutions and information technology. To this end, she will assume responsibility for the companies ANWR Media (schuhe.de), EBG Data (merchandise management IPOS) and ANWR Data (data management) within the Executive Board. As a proven retail expert, Martina Novotny will also assume board responsibility for the Schuh Mücke Group.

"Together with her fellow board members Frank Schuffelen (Chairman), Tobias Eichmeier and Franz Klimesch (part-time), she will accompany our affiliated members in the future orientation of their companies as well as continue the successful development of our cooperative."
Martina Novotny will take over the tasks of Matthias Grevener, who will retire after successfully training his successor. Matthias Grevener will transfer his responsibility for the sports sector within the ANWR GROUP board to Tobias Eichmeier on September 1 2023.
